The Mitsubishi L200 has become Auto Magazine's ‘Pick-up of the Year’ for a record-breaking fourth consecutive year. There's no other pick-up truck in the world that's managed to do this.
Mitsubishi Motors, first receiving the award for 'Pick-up of the year' in 2015, managed the retain the award for every single year since. It just goes to show that the L200 is certainly a pick-up worthy of the award, simplicity is key. A sturdy body, an excellent drive and helpful technology.
Auto Express is one of the UK’s leading titles when it comes to car news and reviews, so it really is an incredible feat to maintain the award for 4 years running.
Steve Fowler, Auto Express Editor-in-chief, stated: “The Mitsubishi L200 is our class winner for the fourth year running. Quite simply, no rival offers the same balance of rugged versatility, kit and value for money. Plus, go for a top-spec Warrior, Barbarian or limited-run Barbarian SVP II version, and the kit you get for your cash means you'll experience the trappings of a top-spec SUV, too.”
Rob Lindley – Managing Director Mitsubishi Motors in the UK added: “To win an award with the magnitude of the Auto Express ‘Pick-up of the Year’ award is a tremendous achievement of which we’re hugely proud. However, to win four in a row shows just how ahead of the game the Mitsubishi L200 was at launch – despite many new rivals hitting the market, the most meticulous and diligent journalists in the world still rate the L200 above all others. Perhaps most importantly our customers continue to recognise the capabilities of the L200. Our L200 sales FYTD 2018 are 15% above our sales for the same period in 2017.”
