Glyn Hopkin Number One Again In Analysis of Essex Businesses

Glyn Hopkin, the Romford-based car dealer group, has this week won further recognition for its outstanding operational performance, securing the top spot in the annual ‘Essex Limited’ survey of leading businesses – for the second year running.

The survey is carried out by leading financial and business advisers, Grant Thornton, and evaluates the 100 largest independent companies in Essex. It ranks businesses according to their turnover and is restricted to those companies owned, controlled and managed in Essex. This is the second consecutive year that Glyn Hopkin has won the accolade.

“This award means a great deal to the whole team at Glyn Hopkin," commented Fraser Cohen, Managing Director at Glyn Hopkin. “We are very proud to have our origins in Essex, and to have built up such a successful business with the talent and commitment of so many local people. We opened our first dealership in Romford, Essex in 1993 and, as we look ahead to celebrating our 25th anniversary in January 2018, this accolade highlights just how much we have achieved – and the confidence we can have in our future.”

Earlier this year, Glyn Hopkin was ranked number 33 in the 2017 Sunday Times Top Track 250, which evaluates Britain’s private mid-market growth companies – its seventh consecutive appearance in the rankings.
