What is Motability?

Motability is a government-backed scheme that enables eligible individuals to lease a brand-new vehicle every three years using their disability benefit. The scheme includes insurance, maintenance and breakdown cover, ensuring stress-free ownership and peace of mind. Am I Eligible for Motability?

You’re more than welcome to apply for the Motability Scheme if you currently receive one of the following disability allowances:

Enhanced rate mobility part of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
Higher rate mobility part of Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)

To apply for Motability, you’ll need at least 12 months remaining on your allowance. You can check your award length on your allowance letter, or simply reach out to your allowance provider for confirmation.
