The Government’s announcements regarding COVID-19 are having a major impact on the Motability Scheme. The majority of Car retailers’ showrooms are now closed meaning they are unable to accept any new orders, manage vehicle handovers or vehicle returns.
Motability Operations Ltd, has announced that it is currently unable to accept any new orders because of the challenges presented by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, until further notice and therefore the latest prices for the Motability Scheme will not be launched as usual on 1 April 2020. The situation is being monitored and we will advise when this changes.
If you are coming to the end of your current lease, Motability Operations Ltd will extend this automatically for 6 months to help keep you mobile. Motability Operations Ltd has given assurances that you will continue to be insured too, so there is no need to contact them.
Motability Operations Ltd also said: “The RAC will continue to offer an emergency breakdown service. RSA Motability (RSAM) will be able to handle insurance claims, but please be prepared for longer calling times than usual.”
