CHARGING YOUR NISSAN ELECTRIC VEHICLE

THERE ARE THREE MAIN WAYS TO CHARGE YOUR NISSAN ELECTRIC VEHICLE

CHARGING WITH A 7KW HOME CHARGER

Most electric vehicle owners find this the easiest way of charging at home. 85% of Nissan LEAF owners choose to charge their cars at home and we recommend installing a 7kW home charger from one of our partners, EON Drive or Pod Point.

CHARGING WHILST OUT AND ABOUT

There are now thousands of public charging points across the country that enable you to charge whilst away from home. In fact, there are now more charging points across the UK than there are petrol stations.

CHARGING WITH A THREE PIN PLUG

It is perfectly possible to charge your electric vehicle with a standard 3-pin socket charger cable. It is however, the least efficient and most time-consuming way. A dedicated home charger is the safest, quickest and most cost-efficient way to charge your electric vehicle from the comfort of your home.

NISSAN HOME CHARGING ESSENTIALS

HOW TO CHARGE AT HOME

Having a home charger installed has never been easier, and once installed, you only need to pay for the electricity you use whilst your vehicle is on charge.

The most convenient way to fully charge your electric vehicle is to plug it in overnight, so that it’s always ready to go as soon as you are. With a Nissan ARIYA for instance, you’d have a full charge in the morning with a range of up to 329 miles.¹

We have a number of home charger options available, all of which include standard installation from trained technicians. They also include up to five year’s warranty² and come with a charging app allowing you complete control when you charge your electric vehicle.

GETTING A HOME CHARGER INSTALLED

One of the easiest and quickest ways to charge your electric vehicle is from home.

Nissan works with two of the best home charger installers – E.ON Drive and Pod Point.

When you order your home charger from us, it will be safely installed by their trained technicians.

There are several options available when it comes to paying for your installation, from bundling the cost into your monthly electric vehicle payments, to buying it outright upfront.

CHARGING ON THE ROAD

85% of all EV charging is done at home or at places of work. However, when you do venture further out it’s always best to plan a route that has charging stations along the way, so charging is made part of your journey rather than an inconvenient diversion.

There are more than 35,000 public charging stations in the UK, including over 7,000 that offer rapid changing services – and those numbers grow every day. Nissan works with ZapMap, an app that displays all UK charging locations and other information you need at your fingertips.

You can use this to find your nearest charging point on the go and feel confident all the way to your destination.

OPTIMISE YOUR DRIVING

As with a petrol car, small changes in driving behaviour can make a big difference to the amount of mileage you get from your EV.

Speed, acceleration, braking, driving conditions, number of passengers, luggage weight, tyre pressure and even the air temperature; they all play a role in the car’s battery range.

REMOTE MONITORING AND MORE

With the NissanConnect app, you needn’t be behind the wheel to control battery charging.

You can monitor vehicle health, adjust safety and convenience features, set smart alerts and manage your battery all from your phone.

ONE STOP SHOP FINANCE OFFER

You can now further simplify going electric, if you bundle paying for your electric vehicle, 7 kW home charger and standard home installation into single monthly payments, an offer that’s available through any Nissan dealership.
