For more than a decade Glyn Hopkin has proudly supported Ambition Aspire Achieve (AAA), helping the charity create brighter futures for children, young people and families across Newham.
AAA stands for opportunity, inclusion and the belief that every young person deserves the chance to fulfil their potential, regardless of their circumstances. Through trusted support, inclusive activities and memorable experiences, the charity helps young people build confidence, develop friendships and broaden their horizons.
This cause has remained close to the heart of Glyn Hopkin for more than a decade. Our partnership is about more than financial support; it is a shared commitment to standing alongside local families and making a genuine, lasting difference within the community.
Creating opportunities and lasting memories
Between April and August 2026, Glyn Hopkin’s support helped AAA provide 48 residential places for young people. Trips to Atlantic College, Lambourne End, Hindleap Warren and Outward Bound in Aberdovey gave participants the opportunity to experience new places, become more independent and build confidence away from their everyday surroundings.
AAA also organised five family trips to Hobbledown Heath, Colchester Zoo, LEGOLAND Windsor, Southend-on-Sea and Margate, providing 250 attendances.
For many of the families supported by AAA, experiences like these may otherwise be financially out of reach. These days out offer valuable time together, strengthen family relationships and create happy memories that can last for years.
At the heart of the partnership is the Glyn Hopkin Abbey Hub in Stratford, a safe, welcoming and inclusive space for local children, young people and families.
During the Easter holidays, at least 20 young people attended the Hub’s playscheme each day. Holiday provision continued throughout May half-term and across four weeks of the summer, alongside regular after-school and weekend activities.
The Hub’s programme includes youth clubs, multi-sports sessions, cycling, family activities and dedicated support for children with additional needs and SEND. Its extension and sensory garden have allowed AAA to welcome more young people and provide an even wider range of inclusive experiences.
Plans for autumn 2026 include a new play pitch and further improvements to the Hub’s outdoor spaces. Preparations are also underway for Christmas celebrations and AAA’s annual Toy Appeal, helping families experiencing hardship enjoy the festive season.
Continuing a heartfelt partnership
Glyn Hopkin is incredibly proud that the Stratford centre carries the Glyn Hopkin Abbey Hub name. Over the past 25 years, our relationship with AAA has grown into a deeply valued partnership built around care, opportunity and community.
We are honoured to support the charity’s dedicated team and the life-changing work they carry out every day. Glyn Hopkin looks forward to continuing this partnership and helping even more children and families across Newham feel supported, valued and inspired.
