The Auto Express 2022 New Car Awards.
The award categories are designed to mirror the UK car market and the kind of vehicles you are buying.
It’s the best of the best and showcases which vehicles are proving to be the most popular and “flying off the shelves” / (or forecourt’s if you prefer), more quickly than others.
Winners were only concluded after very rigorous and exhaustive testing, leading us to a penultimate list of winners that can only help you when it comes to choosing your next vehicle.
Everything from comfort, quality and technology to performance and handling, the standard in the new car market, has never been higher. Vehicles just keep getting better and that can, of course only be good news for consumers.
Below are the winners that are available from the Glyn Hopkin Group.
We start with the outstanding Nissan ARIYA - Car of the Year 2022.
Never a more worthy winner as the SUV of choice. It’s bold, assertive styling brings with it a smooth and seamless driving experience whilst at the same time being immensely powerful.
The technology in the ARIYA is like nothing else, with a breath-taking integrated display and with a range of up to 310 miles from it’s 87kWh battery helping to make it a true force of wonder.
Then we have The Fiat 500 – City Car of the Year 2022.
A year on from its debut success, no rival can match the Italian machine’s blend of style, technology and all-round appeal, or the allure of its smooth, efficient electric powertrain.
The Renault Clio – Supermini of the Year 2022.
This is the third consecutive year the Clio has claimed this accolade.
Something of a hat-trick for this chic French five door.
When it comes to new vehicles that have gone straight in at number one in 2022, the Dacia Jogger is certainly one of those vehicles as it claims the – Family Car of the Year 2022 title.
Is it an SUV? Is it an MPV? Is it an estate car?
Impressively, the Dacia Jogger is all three. The full seven-seater that has a robust build, is great to drive and absolutely bursting at the seams with all the kit you could possibly need.
Oh, did we mention it is the most value-focused brand to boot?
Now for The Kia Niro. Proud to win– Small SUV of the Year 2022.
When it comes to the small SUV sector, the Kia Niro is king of the class.
A fresh platform means there is more space inside it than ever before, making the Niro a practical machine, whichever powertrain you opt for.
The Renault Megane E-Tech – enter the Small Company Car of the Year 2022.
Renault was something of an EV pioneer when it launched the Renault Zoe City Car a decade ago.
Now, the E-Tech Electric is the super-stylish way to go electric.
It’s certainly the good- looking family hatchback of choice, both in terms of inside and outside the vehicle.
Now, we come to the MG ZS EV which takes the title – Affordable Electric car of the Year 2022.
When it comes to fully electric, few offer as much for your money than the MG.
It’s the small family SUV that’s practical, affordable, and well-equipped.
It’s looks help it along very nicely too, thank you.
Fiat again, with the Fiat Ducato – Van of the Year 2022.
The latest technology combined with improved payload weights and cargo volumes make the Ducato the outright winner in the Van of the Year category.
The freshly designed Ducato was praised for its high-quality finishes and generous range of body styles.
