RENAULT LAUNCHES NEW, FIFTH GENERATION CLIO

The Clio, Renault’s best-selling French car ever – has an all new, fifth generation model which is now available to order in time for late October and is priced from just £14,295

Having been completely redesigned, both inside and out, the All-New Clio is roomier and spacious than ever before, whilst embracing the latest technological innovations.

Its crammed full of exciting new, premium features which include a totally new interior that sets standards for quality, design and practicality. One of the highlights is the option of new, larger 9-3 inch EASY LINK infotainment screen and a 10-inch TFT instrument cluster – features usually only reserved for larger, more expensive cars. The All-New Clio has been given something of a regal feel with soft-touch plastics, satin finish metal trim and new, more enveloping seats. This, coupled with careful attention to ergonomics, sees the All-New Clio as THE most comfortable and refined version yet.

Not only is it more luxurious than before, it also offers greater customisation with two separate colour -Touch packs that add your choice of either red or orange inserts for the dashboard, doors and centre consol. There is also the availability of ambient lighting which allows drivers to customise their cabin in one of eight different colours.

The boot capacity has also been increased, as too has the front seat design, which not only delivers more comfort and support, it’s carefully shaped semi-soft shell back liberates more legroom for those sitting in the rear.

From the outside, the All-New Clio is clearly more elegant and dynamic from all angles and is packed with head-turning visual appeal. Whilst it still retains the old Clio sleek profile, the new version is more distinctive than ever. The bonnet, for example features sculpted ribs, a larger grille and a very expressive central air scoop.

The dynamic look is further enhanced by details such as the chrome-tinted window surrounds and the hidden window mounted door handles that help give the sporty look of a three-door model.

A further innovation is the adoption of full LED headlamps across the range that are flanked by Renaults C-shaped daytime running light signature that delivers unrivalled night vision. Further kerb-appeal is added by the addition of several new paint finishes, including Valencia Orange and Celadon Blue.

As you’d further expect, the All-New Clio leads the way when it comes to the very latest driver-assistance technologies. Not only is there a “smart-cockpit” that allows easier and safer use of infotainment functions on the move, there is also the option of the EASYDRIVE advanced driving assistance system which represents the first step towards a self-driving vehicle. Available on the TCe 130 EDC this advanced system combines adaptive cruise control with lane-assist to maintain a safe distance to the car in front.

Thanks to careful design and the strategic use of high strength steel, the All- New Clio is also one of the safest cars in its class, further highlighted by its five- star EuroNCAP rating. All models get autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, road sign recognition and six airbags.

In short – the all New Clio is lighter, stronger and safer than its predecessor and is available with a choice of five powertrains, comprising three petrol and one diesel, with hybrid to come in 2020

With all these improvements – it’s a wonder it’s so competitively priced.
