Glyn Hopkins Make A Wish Winner Announcement

One lucky Hertfordshire resident has won a brand new car from Glyn Hopkin Fiat St Albans, after beating odds of 250:1 in a charity prize draw that raised £250,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The car, worth more than £11,000, was donated to the Make-A-Wish prize draw by Glyn Hopkin, one of the UK’s largest dealer groups.

Hayley Rodol, 43 from Radlett, scooped the top prize of a Fiat 500 in a £100-per-ticket raffle at the charity’s annual Valentine’s Ball, which was held at The Dorchester Hotel on Park Lane. Tickets for the Fiat 500 prize draw raised £25,000 to add to the total fundraising figure.

The annual Ball has been a charity fixture since 2007 and has raised in excess of £1.8m over the last decade. All money raised goes to grant magical wishes for children and young people suffering from life threatening conditions.

Collecting her prize at Glyn Hopkin Fiat in St Albans, Hayley said, “I never thought I'd win anything like this, so I'm absolutely over the moon. We had a fantastic evening at the Make-A-Wish Valentine's Ball, for such a brilliant cause, and I couldn't be happier to have won this fantastic Fiat 500. The staff at Glyn Hopkin have been very helpful, giving me a full explanation of all the key features on the car. Now I can't wait to get on the road!”

Fraser Cohen, Managing Director of Glyn Hopkin commented, “The Make-A-Wish Foundation goes to great lengths to grant the wishes of seriously ill children, and we are proudly supporting them in 2017. We were thrilled to see that our donation of the Fiat 500 raised £25,000 on the charity’s big night, which will help the Foundation enrich the lives of children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions.”
