Glyn Hopkin, the UK’s largest independent Nissan dealer group is one of 15 dealerships in the UK taking part in a new pilot initiative with the charity KitAid, launched on Wednesday September 13 th - Tuesday October 31st.
Founded almost 20 years ago, the KitAid
charity recycles unwanted football kits and
distributes to underprivileged
people worldwide. To date, they have sent out more
than 400,000 football kits
to 40 different countries.
To support this initiative, Glyn Hopkin Nissan is calling on all customers and local communities to donate unwanted football kits inclusive of shirts, shorts, socks and football boots, and even new kits will be welcomed too. These donations will give those in poorer countries a chance to have their own kit for the first time and enjoy the beautiful game!
Everyone who donates will receive a prize draw code they can enter online with the chance to win tickets to a 2017/18 UEFA Champions League group stage match.
Shab Chowdrey – Nissan Brand Head at Glyn Hopkin, said: “We’re delighted to be one of only 15 UK dealerships chosen to take part in this incredible Nissan kit drive. There must be hundreds of old kits lying around homes in our local areas, and we’re ready to take delivery of them. We urge everyone, customers or otherwise, to come in with their unwanted kit and help us reach our goals.”
