Glyn Hopkin has kicked-off 2020 with a major recruitment drive across its dealerships in South East England, part of an effort to fill up to 35 sales and aftersales positions. The business is one of the South East’s most successful private dealer groups, representing 14 brands and employing over 850 staff. Due to its continuing success, it is looking to fill a wide range of positions, including sales and service advisors, apprentices and master technicians.
The group is looking to attract staff from all walks of life. While both full and part-time positions are available, flexible working options are also available in order to attract the very best talent. The company is offering weekend and night time shifts for aftersales positions at its Nissan dealerships for those who aren’t able to conform to traditional working hours. All applicants able to commit between 20 and 45 hours a week will be considered.
In addition to its excellent remuneration packages, Glyn Hopkin is also offering a new company car scheme for master technicians who hold MOT and EV licenses. They can choose a company car or opt instead for an additional £250 a month. For those starting out in their careers, new apprentices will be awarded a £200 voucher upon qualification to be spent on tools.
Fraser Cohen, Managing Director of Glyn Hopkin, commented: “We are always looking to offer practical working solutions for our staff. We will offer new staff the option to work hours that will suit the modern parent or the partner who works nights. Our aim is to provide the flexibility for those who aren’t able to work nine to five, Monday to Friday, and offer a fantastic work-life balance.”
Mitsubishi accreditations
Glyn Hopkin is now an official electric vehicle repair centre. This means the group can carry out manufacturer standard repairs on all electrified Mitsubishi vehicles. To ensure the work is carried out to the highest standard, Glyn Hopkin trains its technicians to an award-winning standard.
A number of the group’s master technicians started out as apprentices and have been nurtured through ongoing training and support. Mitsubishi Motors in the UK recently recognised this high level of expertise in its annual ‘Master Tech of the Year Awards’. Three of Glyn Hopkin’s master technicians were positioned among the top in the country, placing second, third and fourth respectively.
