Renault ZOE wins What Car? Award for third consecutive year

For the third consecutive year the Renault ZOE has been crowned with a What Car? Award, picking up the title as “Best Electric Car for less than £20,000” for 2016.

The Renault ZOE is an all-electric, five-door hatchback which is available in three trim levels. Standard equipment is generous and includes Satellite Navigation, Climate Control and an excellent infotainment system to name a few.

Thanks to its patented Chameleon Charger, the ZOE can charge from zero to 80 percent in as little as 30 minutes as well having an official NEDC range of up to 149 miles – more than enough for the average commute! In addition, Renault will also include installation of a home charger in the price of the vehicle, making the ZOE even more appealing and easy to use.

Commenting on the decision to give ZOE the award for a third time, Jim Holder, Editorial Director, What Car? said that the Renault Zoe was their “favourite electric car for less than £20,000 a year ago” and the added tweaks and ability to the specification has only “increased its appeal.” He further went on to explain the ZOE’S main strength which is that it’s a “conventional, stylish, nippy car” that also costs “pennies to run.”

Speaking about the result, Ken Ramirez, Managing Director, Renault UK, said that “The Renault ZOE proves that zero emissions in use vehicles can be stylish and practical with sales more than doubling in the UK last year.” He further went on to say that the team were “thrilled” to have won the award for a third year in a row and believe this is down to the ZOE’s “environmental credentials, ultra-low running costs, serene driving style and high standard specification.”

The Renault ZOE is currently available at Glyn Hopkin from only £89 per month with £5,109 towards your deposit! For more information and to arrange your test drive visit our Renault dealerships in Chelmsford and Colchester, or contact us using the buttons above.
