The New Renault Captur boasts the brand’s...
Renault has just announced that they will be launching a trio of high specification special edition models across its small car model line-up. The models available with the new Iconic edition will be the Twingo, Clio and the Captur and all will come with interior and exterior enhancements as well as an array of specification upgrades that are unique to each model.
The Renault Iconic Special Editions are available with different engine options – including the just-announced Efficient Dual Clutch (EDC) automatic transmission for the Twingo TCe90.
Based on Renault’s award-winning smart city car, the new Twingo Iconic includes cruise control, speed limiter, DAB radio, Bluetooth, R&GO smartphone-based navigation, electric front windows, electric heated mirrors and front fog lights. Complimenting the range is the choice of four exterior colours – including two new metallic paints: Ultraviolet and Lunar Grey. Completing the exterior enhancements are 16-inch Ultraviolet Emblem alloy wheels, extra tinted rear windows and gloss black door mirrors.
Inside, the new Twingo Iconic gets the addition of black part-leather upholstery with white and ultraviolet piping, ‘Renault’ door sill plates, floor mats with an ultraviolet Twingo design and a matte ultraviolet touch pack that supplies splashes of colour around the cabin. The Twingo Iconic also gains climate control and automatic lights and wipers for extra convenience.
The Twingo Iconic comes with two powertrain options – the SCe 70 and the TCe90, with the turbocharged TCe90 being available with both manual and the all-new EDC dual-clutch automatic transmissions. The Twingo engine range produces CO2 emissions as low as 95g/km and returns up to 67.3mpg on the official combine cycle (NEDC).
The Twingo Iconic Special Edition will be available from £11,845 OTR.
Based around the top of the range Dynamique S specification, the special edition Clio receives 17-inch ‘Desire’ alloy wheels with black inserts, chrome window sills, extra tinted rear windows and tailgate and distinctive cross-hatch style wing mirror decals as standard. Drivers will also get the choice of four stylish exterior colours – Ivory, Diamond Black, Oyster Grey and Mercury. Extra personalisation is offered in the optional black and white cross-hatch style roof decal which matches those on the wing mirrors.
Inside, drivers will benefit from GT part-leather upholstery with front heated seats along with leather armrest and handbrake matched with an aluminium gear lever. The distinctive black and white cross-hatch design on the exterior can also be found inside, with touches to the air vent surrounds and door armrest. The Iconic 25 Nav also sees the addition of automatic climate control with one touch quick demist function, rear electric windows and folding and heated door mirrors.
The new supermini is available with TCe90 Stop and Start, dCi90 Stop and Start and dCi90 EDC engines. The Clio’s engine range offers emissions as low as 82g/km CO2 and return up to 88.3mpg on the combined NEDC cycle.
The Clio Iconic Nav Special Edition is available from £18,395 OTR.
Similar to the Signature Nav, the Captur Iconic Nav sits on the trim level above the Dynamique S Nav. The model takes delivery of a two-tone exterior colour and 17-inch ‘Explore’ alloys as standard. The customer is able to choose from six different body colours – Diamond Black, Ivory, Cappuccino Brown, Oyster Grey, Stone or Mercury, with a choice of a Black, Ivory or Cappuccino roof.
The interior of the Captur Iconic Nav receives Cappuccino part-leather upholstery with front heated seats and bronze-tilted chrome interior pack on touch pads around the cabin to bring a flow of the colours outside, inside. The new model also receives a generous array of innovative features including rear parking sensors, heated and electrically adjustable door mirrors and Techno pack which contains R-Link Evolution, rear parking camera and European mapping.
The Captur’s range of four engines offer emissions as low as 95g/km and returns up to 78.5mpg on the combined NEDC cycle.
