The brand new, purpose-built Glyn Hopkin Renault Chelmsford car showroom is now open in Chelmsford, bringing new investment and jobs to the area. The state-of-the-art new showroom on Bilton Road, the result of a £1 million investment by the Glyn Hopkin group, opened initially with a 10-car showroom on 14 August, before expanding to its full, 20-car capacity on 11 September.
The move by Glyn Hopkin is creating new jobs. There will be 15 staff catering to customers’ sales and aftersales needs at the dealership, among them five new recruits to the company. At least five additional employees will be taken on at a later date, joining the 600-strong Glyn Hopkin group-wide headcount cross South East England.
To coincide with the opening, Glyn Hopkin is showcasing an all-new compact SUV, the Renault Kadjar, which looks certain to quickly become one of the French brand’s best-selling models. The Kadjar combines SUV, estate and saloon attributes in a stylish, compact package. Available in two- and four-wheel drive versions, manual and automatic transmissions and four trim lines (Expression+, Dynamique Nav, Dynamique S Nav and Signature Nav), there is a Kadjar to meet the needs of any buyer.
Priced from £17,995, the Kadjar’s extensive equipment across the range brings driving enjoyment, comfort, connectivity and safety to the fore. Safety features include ABS with Electronic Brake-force Distribution, electronic stability control with traction and understeer control, cruise control and speed limiter. All versions have gravel, dust and rain protection kits; an accessory power point; a 12-volt front socket and a trip computer for comfort and convenience, while connectivity via the easy-to-use R-Link 2 system is fitted to all models above Expression+.
