Renault introduce new Clio

Renault has introduced a new Clio to their popular vehicle range which is more appealing than ever with updated styling cues and upgraded interior, top-of-the-range technologies and two new powertrains.

Exterior

A new lighting signature

The new Clio will really stand out on the road thanks to its full-LED front lighting signature in-line with that of other recent Renault models.

At the front, full LED ‘Pure Vision’ headlights fulfil the function of dipped and main beam, enhancing the vehicle’s appearance as well as safety. On higher specifications the new Clio’s headlamps additionally incorporate C-shaped LED Daytime Running Lights, representative of the brand’s new lighting signature. In entry-level and mid-range versions, the new Clio benefits from LED Daytime Running Lights and a chrome trim along the bottom of the grille.

The most stylish Clio yet

Admiring the front of the new Clio you will notice the top grille that houses the logo has been redesigned, along with the lower grille which is now evidently broader and more modern. At the rear, the bumper has been redesigned for further robustness.

Thanks to a new customisation programme there is now more than 30 different colour combinations for customers to choose from including four new colours (Mars Red, Titanium, Arctic White and Iron Blue), as well as new wheel and wheel trim designs.

Interior  

Stylish and quality materials

The new Clio benefits from materials usually only found in Renault’s top-of-the-range models. The texture of its plastics are of a higher visual and tactile quality, its chrome is more subtle, with less glare, and the colours inside the cabin are more refined.   All in all the new Clio is a more grown-up offering, with a seductive profile on the outside perfectly complimented by sophistication inside.

Upgrades driven by attention-to-detail and refinement

Keeping in line with the rest of the new Clio’s cabin, the steering wheel has been redesigned with the reduction of some of its plastic components to give a more upmarket feel with higher end versions benefiting from full-grain leather. The gear lever and door panels have also been redesigned for greater impression of quality.  Adding further appeal are new armrests, controls, sportier air vents and LED interior lighting and higher quality seat fabrics. 

Technology

R&GO system now available on entry level version

The new Clio is firmly keeping up with the times with its R&GO system which instantly connects the vehicle with its user’s smartphone. With this simple yet ingenious system users can easily and intuitively access the car’s most frequently employed functions which have been separated into four different areas: Navigation, Phone, Multimedia and Vehicle.

Media Nav Evolution: exceptional value for money

Mid-range versions of the New Clio will benefit from a Media Nav Evolution, a comprehensive multimedia system that offers the best benefit-cost ratio on the market.

Media Nav Evolution is a 7-inch touch screen display placed in the dashboard that offers features such as navigation with traffic information, Bluetooth connectivity as well as rear view camera display and ECO mode.

Renault R-LINK Evolution

An R-LINK Evolution system is also present in the new Clio which offers a suite of connected services in a comprehensive multimedia system. The R-LINK Evolution takes the form of a customisable seven-inch integrated tablet that allows users to enlarge, reduce or move images with just a touch of their fingertips. The system incorporates a number of features including: Satellite Navigation, Bluetooth, DAB radio, Voice recognition, photo playback, video streaming and more.

The new Renault Clio is also the first B-segment Renault model to be offered with a BOSE audio system.

Features that offer a simpler and enhanced driving experience

Even more agile

The new Clio is now available with parking sensors which are fitted around the entire vehicle, making the car easily manoeuvrable, even in the trickiest driving and parking situation.

In addition to its rear parking sensor, some model versions also offer a front parking sensors and a rear view camera to further simplify manoeuvres and help avoid any of those nasty bumps and scrapes.

Higher spec versions make parking even easier with the introduction of the Hands Free Parking system. With this system a driver does not even need to touch the wheel when parking and can focus solely on acceleration, braking and gear changes.

An expanded engine range that takes driving pleasure to a new level

1.5 dCi 110 diesel engine

The new Clio has expanded its diesel offering with the addition of a 1.5 dCi 110 unit that promises a more powerful and enhanced driving experience.

Mated with a six-speed gearbox and equipped with both Stop & Start technology, this engine delivers 110hp at 4,000rpm and 260Nm of torque at 1,750rpm.

TCe petrol engine

The new Clio range also includes a petrol Energy TCe 120 engine, mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. Offered as an alternative to the automatic transmission, this manual option is aimed at those who wish to retain full driving control.

One of the most comprehensive offerings in the world

The new Clio offers one of the widest ranges of diesel engines around along with a similarly encompassing petrol line-up. Including the petrol’s found in the Renault Sport variants, the new Clio offers no fewer than nine different powertrains, making its engine/transmission line-up on of the biggest on the market.

The new Clio is offered in four versions: Experession, Play, Dynamique Nav and Dynamique S Nav with a high-performance Renault Sport Clio line-up sitting on top.
