New Sentra Revealed By Nissan At The 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show

Standing out for Nissan at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show was a new 2016 Sentra for the US. The best-selling compact sedan was given a refreshed exterior and interior as well as adding extra safety features to give all-round appeal.

Outside, the new Sentra’s exterior design is elegant, modern and refined offering customers a little more sophistication. It adopts Nissan’s bold signature trapezoid-shaped grille and large wraparound LED headlights as standard on front and rear. Classy chrome accents can also be found along with optional heated outside mirrors with integrated turn signals.

Inside, the cabin has been refreshed and thanks to the Sentra’s new longer wheelbase there is extra space with class-leading rear seat legroom and large boot capacity. Further space can provided with its standard 60/40 split fold down seat design. High quality materials are not only found outside, but also inside with a soft-touch instrument panel and door armrests. Outstanding seating is provided for ultimate comfort and the stylish instrument panel looks classy and is easy to read.

Technology and Safety

The 2016 Sentra offers advanced technology features that help owners enjoy their journey. Highlights include newly standard Bluetooth connectivity, USB inputs and automatic headlights for all models. A new higher resolution TFT LCD panel will also be found, with the SL, SR and SV models getting a 5-inch Advanced Drive Assist Display.

One of the most important updates to the new Sentra is the range of optional safety features on offer. Depending on the trim, the new Sentra is available with Forward Emergency Braking, Intelligent Cruise Control, Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

Unchanged, the new Nissan Sentra will be powered by a 1.8-lire 4-cylinder engine that is paired with an advanced Xtronic CVT transmission that produces 130 hp. The base S model can be equipped with a six-speed manual transmission. The Xtronic features a host of enhancements that add to an improvement in fuel efficiency and lower vehicle weight.
