The Auto Trader New Car Awards stand apart from other automotive award schemes. Rather than being decided by industry insiders, the winners are chosen by those whose opinions truly matter: the car owners themselves.
This year, an impressive 200,000 UK car owners participated in an extensive online survey, providing candid feedback about their vehicles. It is these real-world insights and experiences that determined the winners across the 23 award categories.
The recognition for the Nissan ARIYA at the Auto Trader New Car Awards is just the latest accolade for this all-electric coupe crossover, which has been garnering praise since its debut in the UK.
Fiona Mackay, Nissan GB Marketing Director, expressed her delight, stating: "Naturally, we're thrilled that the ARIYA has been named 'Best Car For Long Distances' at this year's Auto Trader New Car Awards.
"It's particularly pleasing because this accolade is based on the real-world opinions of ARIYA owners from across the UK. It will help dispel any remaining myths that electric vehicles are suitable for short journeys only.
"Apart from its long-distance cruising credentials, the ARIYA has so much to offer. As a stylish, fully electrified crossover, it combines the practicality of a versatile SUV with the space, comfort, and styling of a premium city car. We're incredibly proud of it and, as I say, thrilled to have won this Auto Trader award."
As part of the awards survey, participants were asked to rate their cars across 16 different categories, ranging from reliability and performance to appearance and running costs. They were also asked about their overall satisfaction with their vehicle and how likely they would be to recommend it to others.
