Nissan has unveiled the all-new Nissan PIXO, a compact electric city car created specifically for modern European life.
Combining a city-friendly footprint with up to 161 miles of preliminary WLTP range, rapid charging and a surprisingly practical interior, the PIXO is designed to make everyday electric driving simple, connected and enjoyable.
Designed at Nissan Design Europe in Paddington, London, the PIXO also adds another British connection to Nissan's expanding electric line-up. It will complement the All-New Nissan MICRA, All-New Nissan LEAF and Nissan ARIYA, giving customers an even wider choice of fully electric vehicles.
European customer deliveries are planned to begin from early 2027. Nissan's UK website currently states that full UK prices and offers will be available in March 2027.

The Nissan PIXO uses a 27.5kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, the first battery of this type to be fitted to a Nissan model in Europe.
Its preliminary range of up to 161 miles is designed to cover everyday journeys such as commuting, school runs, shopping trips and city travel, while still providing enough flexibility for longer days out.
Every PIXO grade will include 50kW DC rapid-charging capability as standard. Under suitable charging conditions, the battery can be replenished from 15% to 80% in approximately 28 minutes. Up to 11kW AC charging is also available for convenient charging at home, at work or at compatible public charging points.
At 3,796mm long and 1,790mm wide without mirrors, the PIXO has been developed to feel at home on narrow streets, in busy town centres and in tighter parking spaces.
Despite its compact dimensions, intelligent interior packaging enables it to accommodate up to four adults. Five doors and independently sliding rear seats make it easier to balance passenger and luggage space depending on the journey.
The PIXO provides 18 litres of useful in-cabin storage and up to 356 litres of boot capacity, including dedicated cable storage. Folding the rear seats increases the available luggage capacity to as much as 1,221 litres.
That combination should make the PIXO suitable for much more than short solo journeys, whether carrying shopping, luggage, sports equipment or everyday family essentials.
The all-new PIXO was designed at Nissan Design Europe in Paddington, strengthening its connection to the Nissan By Britain story.
Its cube-inspired proportions are combined with clean surfaces, pixel-influenced lighting and a confident front-end design. Nissan has also included playful details throughout the car, including hidden "23" Easter eggs. The numbers two and three can be read as "Ni-San" in Japanese.
The distinctive front bumper has been designed to resemble a friendly robot face, while colours including Wonder Purple and Gear Blue reinforce the PIXO's youthful character.
Although designed by Nissan in London, the PIXO will be manufactured by Nissan's long-standing partner Renault at its Novo Mesto facility in Slovenia.
The PIXO places connected technology at the centre of the driving experience.
Google built-in brings Google Maps, Google Play and connected services directly into the car. Google Gemini will support natural voice interaction for navigation, entertainment and communication, with Nissan describing its introduction as a first for the A-segment.
Nissan has listed a 7-inch driver display and 10-inch central touchscreen, helping drivers view key journey information, plan routes and manage entertainment. Facial recognition will also be available depending on grade, allowing the vehicle to identify different drivers and load their preferred settings automatically.
Google Gemini availability will be introduced gradually, while final technology specifications may vary by UK grade.
A tight 9.9-metre turning circle should make the PIXO easy to manoeuvre through urban streets and into smaller parking spaces. Its 60kW electric motor also provides the smooth and immediate response associated with electric driving.
Nissan's e-Pedal technology allows drivers to accelerate and significantly reduce speed using the accelerator pedal, while regenerative braking returns energy to the battery. This can make frequent stop-start journeys feel more relaxed and intuitive.
Nissan has also announced a selection of driver-assistance technology for the PIXO, including adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, Lane Departure Warning and Hands-Free Parking. Final availability will depend on the chosen UK specification and grade.
