How does motability work?

The Motability Scheme enables disabled people to lease a new car, scooter or powered wheelchair by exchanging their mobility allowance.

If you are eligible for the scheme, you can swap your government-funded mobility allowance for a lease on the new car of your choice.

The regular monthly lease payment covers more than the vehicle however, including your insurance, road tax, breakdown cover and servicing.
