The
Motability Scheme is a government funded project that helps disabled motorists
get mobile by allowing them to exchange their mobility benefits for a three-year
lease on a brand new car. Glyn Hopkin Mitsubishi is a very proud partner of the
scheme and thanks to our spectacular Mitsubishi Motability Finance Scheme we have helped hundreds of people by providing personalised
Mitsubishi vehicles that are designed to make life on the road safe and comfortable.
If you
receive any of the following mobility benefits from the government then you
could be eligible for the Mitsubishi Motability Finance Scheme:
The new Mitsubishi Motability Finance Scheme is
open to drivers of any age and if you have a child over three years old then
you are eligible to claim on their behalf. Even if you don’t drive you can still
take advantage of the new Mitsubishi scheme as up to three carers or family members can be
named as registered drivers.
The new Mitsubishi
vehicles are ideal for the Motability Scheme, with the large Mitsubishi estate, Mitsubishi SUV and Mitsubishi MPV models offering plenty of space for mobility scooters and wheelchairs. When
you book an appointment with one of our Motability experts, we will talk you
through the full selection of vehicles in the current Mitsubishi range and new Mitsubishi Motability Finance
Scheme helping
you choose the perfect car for your requirements. With many adaptations available
free of charge, you can set the car up in a completely personalised way, making
your journeys more comfortable and safer.
For more
information about the current selection of vehicles available on the Motability
Scheme follow the links on this page. You can drive many of them with no
advance deposit required and the Motability offer also includes insurance, road
tax, servicing, maintenance and repair costs, breakdown cover, new tyres and
windscreen replacements.

Motability Scheme prices will be available from Thursday 4 June. We are gradually contacting customers who are able to place an application with more information. The Scheme is still closed for new customer applications. See our FAQs for further updates.
Although dealers will begin to gradually reopen in England from 1 June, with social distancing measure in place, weeks of disruption mean we are working through a large backlog of both Motability orders, and sales of returned cars. For this reason, we ask for your understanding as we will need to take a phased approach to reopening the Scheme. Please be reassured that the Scheme will support you where possible to help you remain mobile during this time.
As the COVID-19 situation changes we understand that customers have a number of questions. The Motability Customer Services team is currently dealing with a high volume of calls, so we would ask for your support if you are unable to get through to them as quickly as usual.
We will continue to update this page regularly to ensure we cover the most frequently asked customer questions.
Vehicle handovers and new applications
I placed an application before lockdown, when will the handover of my car go ahead?
Handovers of cars that had already been ordered, have started to arrive at dealerships and are ready for dealers to pass on to customers this will start this week, subject to this being done in a COVID-19 safe environment. When your car is ready to be handed over, your dealer will be in touch with you to make an appointment. We expect that delivery of these pre-ordered cars will continue throughout June and into July.
