One of Britain's best-loved compact SUVs just went fully electric. Nissan has officially unveiled the third-generation Juke — and for the first time in its history, it's 100% electric.
Revealed at Nissan's Vision Event in Japan, the all-new Juke EV is bold, characterful and unmistakably Nissan. It's set to go on sale in spring 2027, and we're already excited to have it here at Glyn Hopkin.
The original Juke launched in 2010 and transformed the compact crossover segment. More than 1.5 million drivers across Europe have chosen one since — and it's not hard to see why. It dared to be different when everything else played it safe.
The new generation carries that spirit forward. Taking inspiration from Nissan's striking Hyper Punk concept, the electric Juke brings a bold, multifaceted design with a strong front light signature and distinctive rear styling. It's the kind of car that turns heads — just like its predecessors always have.
Here's something worth celebrating. The all-new electric Juke will be built right here in the UK, at Nissan's Sunderland plant. That's the same facility that already produces the new Nissan Leaf, and it sits at the heart of Nissan's wider commitment to British manufacturing and jobs.
Designed, engineered and developed across Nissan's UK, Spain and Germany network, this is a genuinely European car built for European drivers.
Full specs are still to be confirmed closer to launch, but here's what we know:
The Juke EV is built on Nissan's CMF-EV platform — the same architecture that underpins the new Leaf. That means we can expect a choice of two battery sizes (52kWh and 75kWh), with the larger option targeting up to 386 miles of range. Power is expected to come from a front-wheel drive electric motor producing around 215bhp.
It will also support Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology, meaning your Juke could actually feed energy back into your home or the wider grid when you don't need it. That's a smart feature that makes electric ownership work harder for you.
Not ready for full electric yet? No problem. Nissan will continue to sell an updated version of the current Juke Hybrid alongside the new EV, so there's a Juke for wherever you are on your electric journey. The Qashqai e-Power and Juke Hybrid remain a key part of the line-up for drivers who want the efficiency of electric driving without plugging in.
As Nissan's Chairman for the AMIEO region, Massimiliano Messina, put it: "With a rapidly expanding EV line-up, we are bringing greater choice and innovation to every segment."
The electric Nissan Juke is due to launch in spring 2027, and we expect strong demand when it arrives. If you'd like to be among the first to hear updates, pricing and availability, get in touch with your local Glyn Hopkin Nissan team today.
