Fiat Doblo Cargo wins Vans A2Z Van of the Year 2015

The new Fiat Doblo Cargo has been on sale for little over a month in the UK yet during that short time it has done enough to scoop its first major award, taking home not only the Vans A2Z Van of the Year Award but also the Light Van of the Year award.

The latest addition to the Fiat Professional's range had to see of plenty of strong competition to claim the top spot but according to the VansA2Z website, the Fiat Doblo Cargo is a “delight" and stated its wide choice of models, more responsive diesels with increased low-down torque, improved fuel consumption and detail tweaks to the gear change amongst the reasons that the Doblo Cargo stood out from the crowd.

This kind of success is not new for the Fiat Doblo Cargo, with the previous generation model winning several awards, including International Van of the Year in 2011. However Vans A2Z say that the “detail tweaks... have transformed it."

The panel of judges is made up of the Vans A2Z editorial team, with extra input from two well-respected specialist freelance journalists – who all spend their lives driving the latest vans, pick-ups and light trucks. Vehicles are assessed on several different categories; driveability, safety, driver comfort, load-carrying ability, load area access and the price.
