The Fiat 500X is finally in showrooms, more than six months after it wowed the public at its first appearance at the 2014 Paris Motor Show in October.
Following the great response after it's world debut, Fiat decided to embark on an industry-first digital marketing campaign that saw them team up with Xbox and world famous magician, Dynamo, to speak directly to the participants via an interactive illusion made possible by the Xbox Kinect system.
Dynamo spoke directly to the participants through the Xbox and through a series of questions
; he manages to tell them the type of 500X that they were thinking of, as well as the season and their chosen location. The event was a huge success and drummed up plenty of buzz ahead of the launch last week.
The Fiat 500X is not just marketing hype, though - Fiat's first ever entry into the crossover class is a stylish and character-full take on the Fiat 500!
The exterior styling sees the famous Fiat 500 revitalised for a crossover body shape with the signature 500 front headlamps, chrome trim and badge, while larger rear wheels and a 162mm ground clearance help to provide the 500X with a more aggressive stance.
On the inside, the interior styling is similar to that on the original 500 except the classically styled dashboard has been replaced with a less cluttered, more grown up one, featuring an impressive 6.5-inch colour touchscreen. The driving position has been altered to provide the driver with a much more relaxed body position whilst also creating extra room in both the front, and the back. There is also a large amount of customisation available, as with the 500, allowing 500X customers to really make this brand new car their own.
“The Fiat 500X offers the style of the 500 city car, but with added 4x4 attitude" – The Guardian
“The Fiat 500X has style, it has verve and it is fun to drive" – Southport Visitor
The 500X comes with a 138bhp 1.4-litre petrol and three diesel variants – a 93bhp 1.3, 118bhp 1.6 and a 138bhp 2.0-litre – over a range of three different transmissions, including a nine-speed automatic with the choice of front- or four wheel drive.
Prices for the Fiat 500X begin from just £14,143.12 for the base model. To find out more, or to book your test drive visit our Fiat dealerships or contact us using the buttons above.
