Suzuki continues partnership with MK Dons until 2019​

Suzuki GB PLC has continued its major sponsorship deal with MK Dons signing a three-season extension. The sponsorship deal will again see the renowned Suzuki logo carried on the Don’s first team, training kit and replica shirts until 2019.

The deal also extends to high visibility for Suzuki pitch-side, programme and magazine advertising, at promotional events, on official MK Don’s stationery and on the backdrops used for the team’s interviews. The brand will also continue to be involved with the Club’s popular Sport and Education Trust.

The newly developed stadium MK is less than four miles away from Suzuki GB’s headquarters and includes conference rooms, a four star hotel and space for more than 30,000 fans.

On extending the partnership with MK Dons, Suzuki’s Managing Director, Nobuo Suyama, said the brand was “delighted to announce further sponsorship with MK Don’s” and that it has already “helped develop commitment to our local community as well as support our great local team.” Looking ahead Nobuo said that Suzuki and MK Dons have already “enjoyed great success together” which he “looks forward to continuing” over the next three seasons.

Pete Winkelman, Chairman of MK Dons said he was “delighted” to be continuing their relationship with Suzuki who have been “committed to supporting the club from the outset” with a record-breaking official title partnership for the Club. He further went on to say that becoming the Club’s longest-serving shirt sponsor is a “remarkable feat” and with Suzuki’s “magnificent support, we will look to build on the success of the last few seasons.”

Dennis Woolford, Sport and Education Trust (SET) Inclusion Manager, added: “Suzuki is sponsoring four MK Dons Disability Teams across a range of PAN (all) disabilities and includes the provision of new team playing kits carrying the Suzuki brand. We are very proud to have Suzuki as our community partner and look forward to working with them.”
