Suzuki currently produces two hybrid vehicles, the Across plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and the S-Cross mild-hybrid (MHEV).
The Across PHEV returns a combined 42.9mpg, produces emissions as low as 22g/km and manages 0-62mph in just six seconds. The vehicle rides on 19-inch alloy wheels, features rear privacy glass and roof rails. It’s also fitted with a range of LEDS: automatic low-high-beam headlights, daytime running lights, front fog lamps, taillights and rear fog lamps.
This robust and sporty SUV features a roomy five-seat cabin and a 490-litre boot, which expands to 1,168 litres with rear seats folded. Infotainment highlights include a nine-inch touchscreen, DAB radio, USB and Bluetooth connectivity and Android Auto/Apple CarPlay. Though not formally tested by Euro NCAP, the Across is based on the Toyota RAV4, which has scored a full five-star rating. Indeed, the Across is packed with safety features, including Blind-spot Monitoring, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Rear Cross-traffic Alert and Road Sign Assist.
Alternatively, the Suzuki S-Cross MHEV is self-charging, which means no action is required by the driver. It returns between 46.3mg and 53.8mpg and produces CO2 emissions from 120g/km and 139g/km.
This dynamic crossover is fitted with minimum-size 17-inch alloy wheels, a range of LEDs and roof rails. The S-Cross offers keyless entry and ignition and features a five-seat cabin, which provides the driver with plenty of seating/steering wheel adjustment options. Furthermore, the vehicle comprises a four-speaker stereo (with DAB radio), a seven-inch touchscreen, USB and Bluetooth connectivity and Android/Apple smartphone mirroring. The S-Cross features plenty of safety tech too, such as Lane-departure Prevention, Hill-hold Control, multiple airbags and ISOFIX child-seat fixtures.
