Suzuki is delighted to announce that just three months after its launch, the new Swift Hybrid has been awarded the title of "Best Affordable Hybrid 2024/2025" by Best Cars of The Year. The judging panel named the Swift Hybrid a clear winner, thanks to its standard hybrid technology across all models, low running costs with a combined fuel consumption of 64.2 mpg, and its affordable price well below £20,000.
Mike Rutherford, of Best Cars of The Year, commented: “Suzuki has to be applauded for making every model available as a hybrid - at a time when consumers are increasingly attracted to this affordable, highly flexible petrol-electric tech. Throw impressive Japanese build quality, a great dealer network and a sub-£20,000 starting price into the mix and it’s no wonder the little Swift appealed to our judges. It’s a car for the real-world."
The new Swift’s popularity is evident, with customer orders already surpassing 3,700 units. Suzuki continues to offer low ownership costs, all the essential technology, and hybrid as standard across its range. Additionally, the new Swift is available with optional CVT gearbox and Allgrip Auto 4x4 technology, making it ideal for customers needing extra traction in rural areas during the winter months.
Another important consideration when buying a new car is its resale value. The new Swift Motion with CVT has been forecasted to retain an impressive 52% of its value by leading industry experts CAP HPI. This equates to a retained value of £10,200 after four years and 40,000 miles of ownership (CAP Forecast May 2024). The manual Swift Motion is close behind, retaining 49% or £8,975 over the same period.
Low ownership costs are further enhanced for Suzuki customers with the option of up to seven years’ warranty. This extended warranty is provided free of charge after the standard three-year manufacturer warranty expires, as long as the car is serviced within the Suzuki dealer network. The warranty can be renewed after each scheduled service, up to a maximum of seven years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.
