Suzuki has introduced a new S model to the range which will be available to order in January 2016. The new S model offers a more sporty and dynamic profile, along with a generous array of new features, and an all new 1.4-litre engine with BOOSTERJET technology.
As standard on all Vitara models the Vitara S will include seven airbags, alloy wheels, DAB radio with USB and Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control with speed limiter, automatic air conditioning and front and rear electric windows. However, the new S model will also come fitted with 17-inch Gloss black alloy wheels, unique grille design, satin silver door mirrors, LED Headlamps with red projector covers, rear upper spoiler and back side mouldings.
The sporting theme will continue inside the cabin with red interior stitching and red accents. Outside, customers are provided with a choice of four vibrant colours for the exterior including Bright Red, Cool White Pearl, Galactic Grey and Cosmic Black.
The new S model will be equipped with a 1.4-litre Direct Injection turbocharged engine (DITC) and will be the first to include Suzuki’s BOOSTERJET technology. Thanks to its intelligent engineering this engine offers both efficiency and power with an acceleration time of 10.2 seconds from 0-62mph, and CO2 emissions of just 127g/km with its standard ALLGRIP system and manual transmission. A six-speed manual transmission is fitted as standard but customers will also have the option of a six-speed automatic transmission, if desired.
Suzuki’s ALLGRIP system comes as standard on the new S model and has four driver-selectable modes which are Auto, Sport, Snow and Lock providing a safe drive on any terrain. This intelligent system has been improved in the Vitara S by the addition of a feed forward function that assigns torque to the rear wheels before any slippage can occur. The Vitara also holds the maximum five-star rating from Euro NCAP, making it one of the safest cars on the road.
