Suzuki's all-new global compact city car, the Celerio, went on sale in the UK back in February and experienced great success – over 2,000 units have already been delivered to date!
Suzuki has now improved the range by adding a Dualjet engine and an automatic option.
The new 1.0-litre Dualjet engine is ultra clean, emitting only 84g/km of CO2 whilst maintaining an amazing 78.4 MPG on the EC combined Cycle – making it the most fuel efficient new car on the market for under £10,000! The Celerio is available with the 1.0-litre Dualjet engine for only £500 more than the 99g/km SZ3 model, at only £8,499.
The new engine uses twin fuel injectors to improve the fuel economy. Positioning the fuel injectors very close to the engine inlet valves allows for a finer fuel mixture and an easier, more effective transfer into the engine. The new Dualjet engine also incorporates Stop Start technology when stationary, further enhancing fuel efficiency.
Suzuki's latest development in automated manual gearbox technology, Auto Gear Shift (AGS), is also now available as an option with the Celerio. Featuring an intelligent Shift Control Actuator positioned at the top of the transmission, operating the gearshift and clutch manually, drivers will benefit from the effortless driving of an automatic without sacrificing the fuel efficiency or increasing CO2 emissions, and with CO2 emissions of only 99g/km, a Celerio with ASG is VED exempt.
One of the more unique features of the Suzuki ASG is a low speed 'creep' facility, allowing the car to move slowly without the driver needing to apply pressure to the accelerator – perfect of slow moving traffic or parking! ASG is available on the top SZ4 grade for only £9,799.
All Celerio models come with a comprehensive standard specification that includes six airbags, ESP, air conditioning, alloy wheels, DAB radio, CD tuner, USB and Bluetooth connectivity and remote central locking.
