The new S-Cross Hybrid offers plenty of value for money, not least because it comes very well-specified as standard; it’s good-looking, practical and affordable to run too.
This compact SUV rides on 17-inch alloy wheels as standard, features dark-tinted rear windows and is topped with aluminium roof rails that afford plenty of load-bearing options. A five-door body ensures easy passenger access to a cabin that comfortably accommodates a family of five or four full size adults. The driver has the added convenience of an adjustable position, not to mention a rake-and-reach-adjustable steering wheel. A 430-litre boot should more than suffice when it comes to weekly shopping trips and the like. However, if more luggage volume is required, simply drop the car’s 60/40 split-folding rear seats to enjoy greater load capacity.
All models are powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine, a compact electric motor and a self-charging battery. This hybrid drivetrain returns up to 60.7mpg while producing CO2 emissions from 120g/km (entry-level Motion trims).
The S-Cross comes with the following standard-issue infotainment features: a seven-inch touchscreen, a four-speaker sound system (with DAB radio), USB and Bluetooth connectivity and an Android/Apple smartphone interface. If you fancy a multimedia upgrade, it’s worth considering the next-tier Ultra trim, which features a nine-inch touchscreen and adds a satellite navigation system.
This hybrid crossover comes with Euro NCAP’s maximum five-star crash-test approval and is furnished with lots of safety tech as standard. For instance, automatic headlights, LED rear combination lights and rear fog lamps are included with entry-level Motion grades – as are front and rear-mounted sensors and a rear parking camera.
The new Suzuki S-Cross Hybrid is available now from Glyn Hopkin Suzuki. If you have any questions or if you would like to book a test drive, please get in touch with your local branch at your earliest convenience.
