The new special edition is now available to order - priced from £27,999 and is based on the well-equipped Mitsubishi Outlander 3. Although the Keiko is on sale for just £550 more than the Mitsubishi Outlander 3, the special edition adds leather seats and the Mitsubishi Global Navigation (MGN) unit.
Promoting a more smarter, safer way to use your devices in the car, the MGN unit supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto™ - providing voice-controlled operation of Google Maps™, Google Play™ and other apps. Key features also include a wide 6.5-inch touchscreen LCD display, DAB radio, TomTom Satellite navigation and CD/DVD player.
Extensive standard specifications include dual-zone air-conditioning, privacy glass, keyless operation with a stop/start button, seven seats with split/folding third row, 18-inch alloy wheels, rear parking sensors, seven airbags, electronic parking break (auto only) and Brake Auto Hold (auto only).
The power is generated by a technologically enhanced 2.2-litre diesel engine, which is available with automatic and six-speed manual transmissions. The on-demand 4WD system improves stability, traction, fuel economy and emissions. Manual versions consume 53.3 mpg on the combined fuel economy cycle with CO2 emissions of 139g/km, whereby automatic versions are capable of 48.7 mpg and produce 154g/km.
The Keiko is backed by a five-year, 62,500-mile warranty; the same applies to all Mitsubishi Outlander diesel variants. For an extra £700, customers are eligible to purchase the Mitsubishi Service Plan, which covers scheduled maintenance for the first three years.
