Mitsubishi ASX Range Refreshed

Mitsubishi has refreshed their ASX crossover, with a completely new model line up, new alloy wheels, a new engine and an updated interior.

The ‘Active Sports Crossover’ has always been an efficient and spacious crossover with a high level of specification, and the new Euro 6 compliant diesel engine improves this even further. The new 112HP 1.6-litre turbocharged diesel with six-speed manual transmission is exciting to drive, and still has low CO2 emissions of just 119 g/km with great fuel economy of up to 56.5 MPG.

This joins the current engine line up of a 1.6-litre petrol engine with five-speed manual transmission, and a 2.2-litre diesel engine with six-speed automatic transmission with manual paddle shift.

The already-spacious interior has been enhanced to make it even more comfortable. The ASX uses the same wheelbase as the Outlander, giving all passengers plenty of legroom, and the new ZC, ZC-M and top-of-the-range ZC-H all offer a high level of specification as standard.

The entry-level ZC model includes alloy wheels, air conditioning, Active Stability and Traction Control (MAST-C), remote keyless entry, front fog lights, and seven airbags all as standard. The interior has also been updated with a new leather and gloss black steering wheel with audio controls, a leather gearknob, in addition to the USB port, privacy glass, cup holder in the rear arm rest and a high-contrast LCD display.

The mid-level ZC-M adds new 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels, plus new black wheel arch garnishes. In addition, climate control, Push-Start button, parking sensors, cruise control, auto-dimming rear view mirror, and automatic lights and windscreen wipers are all included. The luxurious interior is enhanced with a seven-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system with DAB radio, six speakers, heated front seats and a leather steering wheel.

Finally, the top-of-the-range ZC-H has a wealth of additional features, including a full leather upholstery, four-wheel drive, and the Mitsubishi Multi Communication System with a seven-inch HD touchscreen display, satellite navigation, DAB radio, SD card compatibility, reverse parking camera, radio and CD player. The cabin is also opened up with a panoramic glass roof with LED mood lighting.

The updated Mitsubishi ASX is available with a five-year warranty, plus 12-year anti-corrosion perforation warranty, and a three-year pan-European roadside, home and accident assistance.
