MG has introduced its first 7‑seat SUV – the all‑new MGS9 PHEV – marking a significant milestone for the brand and strengthening its position in the large SUV market. Designed to offer low running costs, strong efficiency and genuine seven‑seat practicality, the MGS9 PHEV combines a plug‑in hybrid powertrain with a versatile, well‑equipped interior.
The all‑new MGS9 PHEV features three rows of seats, giving families the flexibility to carry up to seven occupants when needed. When the extra seats in the third row are folded away, the MGS9 PHEV provides more than 1,000 litres of space for luggage, pets, pushchairs or anything else family life demands. Even with all seven seats in use, there is still a considerable 332 litres of luggage space available, making it practical for everyday use.
MG describes the MGS9 PHEV as both longer and taller than the MG HS, delivering enhanced presence on the road and extra interior versatility. This added size supports the flexibility of a third row to meet the needs of modern families and lifestyle‑driven customers.
The MGS9 PHEV combines a 1.5‑litre turbocharged petrol engine with a 24.7kWh battery and electric motor, delivering up to 62 miles* of electric‑only range for everyday journeys and low running costs.
The MGS9 PHEV offers leather‑style upholstery, a large panoramic sunroof, heated, ventilated and massaging front seats and tri‑zone air conditioning, with an interior focused on comfort, practicality and generous standard equipment.
The MGS9 PHEV has a 5‑star Euro NCAP rating, with extensive use of high‑strength steel and up to 16 advanced driver assistance technologies to help protect occupants and support the driver.
