MG has achieved its highest-ever monthly UK sales result, registering 18,026 vehicles in September 2026 and securing fourth place in the UK new-car sales rankings for the month. Registrations increased by 23.7% compared with September 2025, marking another milestone for the brand.

September completed MG’s biggest-ever quarter, with 30,189 registrations between July and September. It also marked the sixth consecutive month in which MG achieved a sales record for the corresponding calendar month.
Across the first nine months of 2026, MG registered 78,930 vehicles, an increase of 20.7% compared with the same period last year, placing the brand sixth overall in the UK.
Electrified vehicles played a significant role, accounting for 91.6% of September registrations across hybrid, plug-in hybrid and fully electric powertrains. MG’s battery-electric sales also increased by 65.2% year to date.
Alongside this sales momentum, MG’s “Upgrade Unleashed” Hybrid+ campaign puts comfort, refinement and useful technology in the spotlight.
Updates across the MG3 Hybrid+, MG ZS Hybrid+ and MG HS Hybrid+ bring smoother hybrid driving and improvements to cabin comfort and convenience.
