Infiniti Q60 Concept at the Geneva International Motor Show

Infiniti's latest concept, the Q60 has made its European debut at the Geneva International Motor Show this week. The exceptional two-door Concept car exudes high-performance sport dynamics and hints at Infiniti's next sports coupe.

The Q60 Concept was revealed earlier this year at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit and received plenty of admiration as the elegant and stylish 2+2 coupe stole the show. “The Q60 Concept is more than a design exercise; it is earmarked for production," said Roland Krueger, Infiniti President and CEO. “What you see in this Concept vehicle inspires the sports coupe that Infiniti will produce next year."

Infiniti has created an eye-catching and striking new design, with hair-raising power in a new Arctic Aluminium shade. It will certainly make an exciting new addition to our roads, with its taut lines, razor sharp edges and deep recesses in the body sides.

The Q60 Concept's exterior is sleek with a deep, double arch grille setting off the front, boasting an elaborate 3D-style mesh pattern. It features all-new intelligent LED lights, which automatically adjust depending on the steering, speed and elevation of the car to light the road ahead, even when driving around bends.

It sits on prominent 21-inch matte black wheels, which fill the wheel arches to give the Q60 Concept a dominant stance.

Inside, the premium feel continues. The Q60 Concept has a fluid centre-console, with three-dimensional textures , and the hand-stitched leather seats, steering wheel and door panels have a high quality, bespoke feel. The seats have been created from premium saddled leather with a thick cushioned quilting is used on both the front, and rear passenger seats, for the highest levels of comfort for both driver and passengers..

The Q60 Concept is fitted with a high-performance 3.0-litre V6 engine with direct injection and twin turbochargers mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission.

The new engine was first premiered at the Paris Motor Show last year and will be part of the Infiniti initiative to create a new family of lighter, smaller, more efficient and more powerful engines.

“The Q60 Concept is Infiniti's vision for a sports coupe. Design, performance and premium quality – these are what makes a sports coupe stand above the crowd. And these are what you'll find on a definitive Q60 Concept," said Alfonso Albaisa, Infiniti Executive Design Director.

The new Q60 Concept is due to go into production within the next two years.
