Alfa Romeo Giulietta starts sales in UK​

The much anticipated Alfa Romeo Giulietta is now on sale in the UK with revised styling, enhanced specification, new technology, a simplified range structure and a new engine and transmission combination to meet the ever-growing needs of the premium hatchback market.

Outside, the new Alfa Romeo Giulietta benefits from a sticking new honeycomb grille, bold black bumper inserts and revised headlamp and fog surrounds. Completing the look are new Alfa Romeo and Giulietta badge designs, new alloy wheels, revised tail pipes and new colours which include Alfa White and Lipari Grey.Inside, passengers will enjoy improved seat upholsteries and dashboard/door panel finishes, a new trip computer display and a Uconnect infotainment system now with smartphone-enabled LIVE services.

Under the bonnet there’s now the option of combining the 120hp 1.6-litre JTDM-2 turbo diesel engine with the ALFA TCT twin dry-clutch transmission. Employing second-generation Multijet technology with a variable-geometry turbo charger, this engine produces 120hp at 3,750rpm and an impressive 320Nm of torque from just 1,750 rpm. Paired with Alfa Romeo’s swift ALFA TCT transmission this engine can be used as full automatic of full manual.

The engine and transmission combined can reach a top speed of up to 121mph and can accelerate from 0-62mph in 10.2 seconds, while its official combined cycle fuel-economy and emission figures matches those of the manual version, returning 74.3 MPG and producing just 99 g/km of CO2.

There are five trim levels available in the UK which consists of the Giulietta, the Giulietta Super, the Giulietta Tecnica, the Giulietta Speciale and the Giulietta Veloce.Standard features are generous and include leather steering wheel with audio remote controls, air conditioning, five-inch Uconnect LIVE with DAB plus USB and Bluetooth connectivity, luxury floor mats, Alfa D.N.A selector, six airbags, 16-inch alloy wheels, electric windows all round and steering-wheel paddle shifters on TCT-equipped models. Features found on higher spec models include 6.5-inch Uconnect LIVE system with satellite navigation and 3D mapping, electric lumbar support on both front seats and front and rear parking sensors. Engine options vary depending on the trim level but higher specifications receive the most powerful engines.
