JAECOO has been named Brand of the Year in the Carwow Car of the Year Awards 2026, marking an outstanding achievement for one of the UK’s fastest-growing automotive brands.
The award recognises JAECOO’s rapid arrival on the UK motoring scene, as well as its distinctive SUV design, advanced technology, generous equipment levels and competitive value.
The Carwow Car of the Year Awards are judged by the platform’s expert content team, which tests and reviews hundreds of cars across different vehicle classes and powertrains.
When selecting JAECOO as Brand of the Year, the judges highlighted the brand’s confident styling, extensive standard equipment and significant impact on the UK market.
Carwow also recognised the popularity of the JAECOO 7, which had topped the platform’s vehicle enquiry charts.
JAECOO officially entered the UK market in January 2025 and had already exceeded 21,000 sales by the time the award was announced in November.
The JAECOO 7 SHS became the UK’s best-selling plug-in hybrid in August 2025, while the wider JAECOO 7 range became the fourth best-selling car overall in September and the best-selling Chinese car in the UK in October.
That early success has continued. In August 2026, OMODA and JAECOO reported that more than 53,000 JAECOO 7 models had been registered in the UK since its launch, with the SUV remaining a regular fixture among the country’s ten best-selling cars.
Although the JAECOO 7 was central to the brand’s initial success, customers can now choose from an expanding selection of SUVs.
The compact JAECOO 5 brings the brand’s distinctive styling and technology to a smaller SUV, while the all-electric JAECOO E5 provides a fully electric option. The larger JAECOO 8 adds greater space, premium comfort and the option of six- or seven-seat configurations.
Together, the range provides customers with a choice of petrol, hybrid, plug-in hybrid and fully electric powertrains.
Across its model range, JAECOO focuses on combining adventurous SUV styling with modern technology and high levels of equipment.
Depending on the model and trim, customers can benefit from features including panoramic camera systems, large infotainment displays, smartphone connectivity, advanced driver assistance technology, heated and ventilated seating and all-wheel-drive capability.
New JAECOO models are also supported by a seven-year or 100,000-mile warranty, whichever comes first.
