The Duster Essential – Introducing a new series of limited-edition Dacia’s

Taking centre stage for Dacia at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show is the Duster Essential which introduces a new series of limited-edition versions of the Duster, Sandero and Logan MCV as well as other models outside the UK.The name of this series of limited editions will vary depending on market and country.

These competitively-priced limited-edition models combine a stylish look with improved travelling comfort. The exterior benefits from the addition a new body colour (Chestnut Brown) and new alloy wheels as well as specific badging and body colour bumpers. Inside passengers will enjoy Bluetooth and USB connectivity, electric front windows and central locking.

Like all Dacias, these limited edition versions come with a three-year/60,000 miles warranty.

Easy R Automated Transmission

Launched at the end of 2015, Easy-R was mated to Dacia’s TCe 90 Stop&Start petrol engine. However, for the same price, Dacia’s first automated transmission can now be specified for dCi 90 diesel versions of the Logan, Sandero, Sandero Stepway and Logan MCV.Paired with the diesel engine, Easy-R will feature six forward gears for optimised driving enjoyment and fuel consumption when compared to that of a manual gearbox.

The all-new design of this automated transmission is engineered on electro-mechanical rather than hydraulic technology which enables a perfect balance of reliability and lower running costs. To ensure the highest standard of quality, the Easy-R gearbox underwent vigorous testing and all unites are carefully inspected after assembly.

Reliable and affordable, Easy-R transmission eliminates the need for a clutch pedal and aims to provide a better driving experience, especially when stuck in traffic and for urban areas. Gear shifts are smooth and automatic, while its crawl function is ideal for manoeuvring or when moving slowly in traffic jams. The innovative system also holds the vehicle at standstill to facilitate pulling away on slopes.

However, there are no current plans for the Easy-R automated transmission to be available in the UK at the current time.
