Compact European Design The BYD Dolphin G DM-i has been designed specifically for Europe, bringing compact hatchback proportions together with a confident, modern appearance. Measuring 4,160mm long and 1,825mm wide, it sits firmly within the supermini segment while offering a planted stance that helps give it a more mature and dynamic look on the road.

Ocean-Inspired Styling At the rear, the Dolphin G DM-i features a full-width light bar incorporating the BYD badging and LED tail-lights. A The exterior design features the latest evolution of BYD’s ocean-inspired styling, with soft curves, clean body lines and neatly integrated air intakes within the lower front bumper. Sharper vertical creases at the front help make the car appear wider, while a rising shoulder line along the side gives the Dolphin G DM-i a sense of movement even when stationary.

Distinctive Rear Design At the rear, the Dolphin G DM-i features a full-width light bar incorporating the BYD badging and LED tail-lights. A sculpted lower bumper and subtle roof spoiler complete the design, helping the car feel stylish, compact and practical. Depending on the trim selected, alloy wheel designs range from 16-inch wheels on Active and Boost versions to 18-inch wheels on Comfort and Sport models.

Spacious Cabin Packaging Inside, the BYD Dolphin G DM-i has been designed to maximise space and comfort. Its 2,610mm wheelbase is longer than many conventionally powered rivals in the segment, helping to provide impressive room for up to five adults. The cabin focuses on simplicity, visibility and ease of use, making it well suited to both everyday commutes and longer journeys.

Smart Interior Layout The dashboard has a clean horizontal design to help create a wider, more open feel. The 8.8-inch digital instrument panel is integrated into the dashboard layout, while the central infotainment screen sits prominently for easy access. A steering column-mounted gear selector frees up space between the front seats, creating a useful dual-level storage area with cupholders and, on most versions, a wireless smartphone charging pad.

Comfort that Supports You The front seats feature multi-level adjustable heating, delivering instant warmth in colder weather.

The driver's seat also offers adjustable lumbar support, following the natural curve of the spine to provide better lower-back support for comfort on every drive.

BYD Blade Battery Arranged in an array in one pack, each cell serves as a structural beam to help withstand the force. The aluminum honeycomb- like structure,
with high- strength panels on upper and lower side of the pack, greatly enhances the rigidity in vertical direction. It is this revolutionary design that
gives optimised strength to the Blade Battery.

Longer Range Selected versions of the Dolphin G DM-i can travel up to 65 miles on electric power alone and up to 646 miles on a full charge and full tank of petrol. With weighted fuel consumption of up to 201.7mpg on selected versions, it has been engineered to offer low running costs while still giving drivers the flexibility needed for longer journeys

Responsive Acceleration The front-mounted permanent magnet synchronous electric motor produces 163PS and 210Nm of torque on its own. This gives the Dolphin G DM-i confident performance, with 0–62mph achieved in 8.3 seconds. The car is designed to feel capable in town, on country roads and during motorway driving.

Digital Displays The Dolphin G DM-i features an 8.8-inch digital instrument panel as standard, helping drivers view key driving information clearly. Depending on the version selected, the infotainment system is available with either a 10.1-inch or 12.8-inch touchscreen, giving the cabin a modern and connected feel.

Smartphone Connectivity Active versions include smartphone integration with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with intelligent voice control. Boost versions and above add a larger 12.8-inch infotainment screen, rear USB charging ports, multi-coloured ambient cabin lighting and a 15W wireless smartphone charging pad for added everyday convenience.

Advanced Assistance Features The Dolphin G DM-i brings a strong range of safety and driver assistance features to the supermini segment. Confirmed systems include Adaptive Cruise Control, Intelligent Cruise Control, Emergency Lane Keeping Assistant, Lane Departure Assist, Front and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Cross Traffic Brake, Blind Spot Detection, Driver Monitoring System and Door Opening Warning.
