Shark-inspired design Inspired by the strength and agility of its ocean namesake, the BYD SHARK has a powerful and instantly recognisable appearance.

The headlights are positioned high and wide across the front of the vehicle, while the large grille and sculpted bumper create a confident road presence. Protective lower cladding, muscular wheelarches and practical side steps reinforce its off-road character.

A commanding profile At almost 5.5 metres long, the SHARK has the proportions and presence expected from a capable double-cab pickup. It rides on bold 18-inch alloy wheels and offers up to 230mm of unladen ground clearance.

Relatively short front and rear overhangs contribute to approach and departure angles of 31 and 19.3 degrees, supporting the SHARK when travelling across more demanding ground.

Distinctive from every angle At the rear, a full-width light bar runs across the tailgate, accompanied by powerful outer lighting signatures and prominent BYD lettering.

The result is a pickup that looks modern and premium while remaining purposeful and practical.

SUV comfort in a capable pickup Step inside the BYD SHARK and you will find a spacious five-seat cabin designed to provide everyday comfort.

Vegan-leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats and soft-touch materials create a premium environment. Large physical controls remain easy to operate, including when wearing work gloves.

More space for rear passengers The completely flat rear floor provides more room for three passengers, while generous headroom and almost 90cm of rear legroom create a seating position closer to a full-sized family SUV.

The rear seat-back is angled for greater comfort on longer journeys, making the SHARK equally suited to transporting colleagues, friends or family.

Intelligent Cabin A 15.6-inch infotainment display sits at the centre of the dashboard, accompanied by a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a head-up display.

Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite navigation, voice control and a 12-speaker Dynaudio sound system help keep every journey connected and entertaining.

BYD Super Hybrid DMO technology The SHARK uses BYD’s Super Hybrid DMO system, developed specifically for vehicles that need to perform both on and off the road.

A 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine works alongside front and rear electric motors to produce a maximum system output of 436PS and 650Nm of torque.

This allows the SHARK to accelerate from 0–62mph in just 5.7 seconds.

Intelligent all-wheel drive Power is delivered through an intelligent all-wheel-drive system that can adapt to changing conditions.

Selectable sand, mud, snow and gravel settings help the vehicle manage its power across different surfaces, while Hill Descent Control provides additional assistance on steep ground.

Comfort across different surfaces Double-wishbone suspension is fitted at both the front and rear, helping the SHARK balance off-road control with a smooth and comfortable road-driving experience.

Its strong ladder-frame construction improves durability and wheel articulation, while the Blade Battery is securely integrated into the structure using Cell-to-Chassis technology.

Up to 55.9 miles of electric driving The 32.2kWh BYD Blade Battery provides up to 55.9 miles of WLTP pure-electric range.

The SHARK prioritises electric power wherever possible, helping everyday journeys feel smooth, quiet and responsive. The petrol engine provides additional flexibility for longer distances and more demanding driving.

Up to 419 miles of combined range With a fully charged battery and a full tank of petrol, the BYD SHARK can travel up to 419 miles.

The Super Hybrid system automatically selects the most suitable operating mode, using electric, hybrid or combined power depending on the driving conditions.

Flexible charging The SHARK supports charging at up to 11kW AC and 55kW DC.

Using a compatible 55kW rapid charger, the battery can be charged from 30–80% in approximately 21 minutes. An 11kW three-phase charger can replenish the battery from 15–100% in around 3.2 hours.
