Jeep introduce two new models at Los Angeles Motor Show

Jeep has revealed two new models at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show – The Grand Cherokee Night SRT and the Wrangler Backcountry. Both models offer distinctive appearance and great capability features to really make them stand out on the road.

Jeep Grand Cherokee Night SRT

The colour most often associated with night time is black, but not for Jeep, who have opted for Velvet Red. That is, unless its Billet Silver or Granite Crystal which are the two other colour options offered on the special edition model. However, the Grand Cherokee Night SRT does bring black in the form of a black roof, rear spoiler, seven-slot grille surrounds, window-outline trim, 20-inch wheels and badging. There’s also more inside with black Laguna leather and darkened chrome trim.

Powering the model is the familiar SRT’s 6.4-litre 475hp V8 engine which will blast from 0-60mph in just 4.8 seconds! Adjustable dampers and drive modes come as standard with the model and optional features include a dual-pane sunroof, a 19 speaker sound system from Harman Kardon, a trailer tow package, three season tyres, a full size spare tyre and a dual screen rear seat entertainment system.

Jeep Wrangler Backcountry

The new Wranger Backcountry is based on the Sahara model but has been designed for winter capability. Distinctive at the Los Angeles Auto Show was its vibrant ‘Xteme Purple’ colour, which will only be available on this model. However, for those who want something a little less vivid, Blue, Black, White and Granite Crystal paint colours are also on offer. The Wrangler Backcountry is available in both two and four-door and sits on 17-inch black Rubicon wheels. Rock rails and a black hardtop come as standard and side steps can be added for no extra cost.

Inside, drivers will find a gloss-black finish with Diesel Grey stitching along with black McKinley leather seat bolsters and fitted slush mats. In addition, the Wrangler Backcountry comes with the nine-speaker Alpine premium sound system and full connectivity package as standard.
