The Civic Tourer is in our showrooms now!
The new Honda Civic Tourer for sale at Glyn Hopkin shares a number of visual similarities with its hatchback sibling as you'll see from every angle. The most obvious is the determined-looking front end which features a mesh grille between swept-back headlamps. At the rear there are flared wheel arches over standard-fit alloy wheels and a sporty shark-fin antenna. Practical additions arrive in the form of black roof rails, LED daytime running lights and front fog lights from the SE Plus grade and beyond.
An inviting cabin boasts the largest boot in the estate class at 624 litres, but that doesn't tell the full story. In front of it are Honda's Magic Seats which fold independently to fit longer items inside the vehicle. The interior is also durable to stand up to heavy use and features smooth leather upholstery with select models for added luxury. When at the wheel you can command the car's functions in an instant by reaching for the intuitive multifunctional dashboard.
The dashboard and centre console houses an abundance of Honda technology to connect you with the people and networks that matter. The new Honda Civic Tourer entry-level model includes a Bluetooth Hands Free Telephone (HFT) system plus USB and auxiliary jacks for connecting your own music device.
There's the option for a Honda CONNECT satellite navigation system too which is controlled via a seven-inch touchscreen. Internet browsing is possible when you link a compatible smartphone to the system, and thousands of online radio stations can also be accessed.
Powering the new Honda Civic Tourer is your choice of petrol or diesel engine. The 1.6-litre i-DTEC petrol with 120PS is the cleanest and most economical option as it uses a five-speed manual gearbox to return up to 74.3mpg combined.
The 142PS 1.8-litre i-VTEC petrol is the fastest of the two however as it carries the entry-level model from 0-60mph in around 9.2 seconds. With ECON Mode engaged at the push of a button you can unlock extra refinement from the car's engines for the most frugal output
One other area the new Honda Civic Tourer excels in is safety as its unbeatable five-star Euro NCAP rating proves. The car's high-strength steel structure absorbs impact forces and minimises the damage to the other vehicle, but the chance of an accident occurring is reduced by its technology.
Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) monitors the model's grip and regulates power and breaking force to keep you in control. Meanwhile, Hill Start Assist (HSA) holds the brakes as you pull away to stop the car from rolling backwards.
