Autosport International 2016 With Abarth

Abarth are sure to be relaxing after a busy weekend recently at the Autosport International 2016 where they displayed five different elements in their show displays.

As well as a stand in the exhibition’s indoor display, the performance car brand also featured an assortment of driving and handling attractions to further build awareness to UK customers.

Last year was Abarth’s best ever in the UK, with total sales rising by 67% compared to 2014 at 2743 – with a top five finish in terms of fastest-growing car brands in the UK.

The Autosport International show was a great opportunity for Abarth to “kick off” 2016 and continue the momentum gained last year. The stunning Abarth 695 Biposto Record was among the host of exciting Abarth models on display at the show.

The five key areas of involvement were:

  • An indoor display which exhibited the Abarth 695 Biposto Record and new Abarth 695 Assetto Corse Record race car in the main hall, along with the Abarth 585 Yamaha Factory Racing Edition as part of the motorsport themed display.
  • Hot Hatch Hall of fame which showed a full specification Abarth 695 Biposto, featured as an example of one of the most radical examples of cars that has defined the hot hatch phenomenon.
  • Live Action Arena where a presenter arrived on stage in an Abarth 595 Yamaha Factory Edition for a live action session.
  • Demonstration drive where passengers rode “hot laps” which were operated by the MSA in an Abarth 695 Biposto on an outdoor circuit.
  • Abarth test drive circuit where people had the opportunity to test drive Abarth cars under expert supervision.

Gerry Southerington, Brand Manager, Abarth UK hoped that the Autosport International will provide Abarth with a “higher profile” as well as attracting new customers to “both the 695 Biposto and the 595 product range.”
