Through the Motability Scheme, motorists with a disability can access a new car that is perfectly matched to their personal requirements. At Glyn Hopkin Renault our dedicated team of Motability specialists are on hand to help you navigate the scheme. If you are eligible, you can take advantage of a fantastic choice of Renault vehicles, which are ready to be customised for their first owner.
Am I eligible?
Various government mobility supplements can be exchanged for a new vehicle through the Motability Scheme. To be eligible, you will need to have at least 12 months remaining on one of the following allowances:
● Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance (HRMC DLA)
● Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of the Personal Independence Payment (ERMC PIP)
● War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
● Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP).
If you are the parent or guardian of a child aged three or above with a disability, you are entitled to purchase a vehicle through the scheme to drive on their behalf.
How does it work?
If you are a motorist with a disability, the Motability Scheme enables you to purchase a vehicle that is suited to your circumstances and requirements. If you are eligible for the scheme, you will also benefit from included extras such as insurance, breakdown cover and servicing and repairs to give you peace of mind. Most makes and models can be modified by our highly skilled technicians to include features that improve ease of use and your driving experience. From hand-operated pedal controls to wheelchair hoists, there is a huge range of adaptations that can improve your driving experience.
