Honda HR-V wins AM New Car of the Year Award

Honda’s much loved HR-V has triumphed at the AM awards scooping the title for New Car of the Year.

With the winner of the New Car of the Year decided by AM’s dealer audience, it is important that a car stands out with exceptional quality, impressive driving performance and be designed for maximum appeal.

First revealed at the Paris Motor Show in October 2014, the HR-V is Honda’s step into Europe’s fast-growing small SUV segment. The HR-V uses a centre fuel tank to provide additional room inside the cabin and has a unique exterior design similar to that of coupe, with sharp, vibrant lines that link the sleek upper body with the firm and planted lower body.

On speaking about the new Honda HR-V, Stephen Briars, Editor in Chief at AM magazine, said: The Honda HR-V has “took Honda back into a rapidly growing market segment” and AM readers have voted the HR-V a winner “thanks to its coupe-like looks, impressive practicality, efficient engines and keen pricing.”

Philip Crossman, Managing Director of Honda UK, added: “This is a fantastic accolade for the new HR-V to pick up and show how popular the car is proving with both dealers and customers alike, with overwhelming demand across our retail network.”
