Nissan ‘unboxes’ new technology at GSMA Mobile World Congress

Electric vehicle leader Nissan has ‘unboxed’ its new software-enabled vehicle – the Nissan LEAF 30 kWh at the GSMA Mobile World Congress.

The third generation LEAF boasts a 26% increase in driving range with a best-in-class 155 miles on a single charge via a new 30 kWh battery. The new MY16 LEAF is also equipped with a new connectivity landscape with an enhanced version of the brand’s admired NissanConnect EV infotainment system.

The ‘unboxing’ marks the first time Nissan has exhibited at the show enabling the manufacturer to showcase their innovative-approach to in-car technologies.

The intelligent NissanConnect EV telematics system takes centre-stage for the vehicle, enabling Nissan LEAF owners to control many of the vehicle’s features at the simple touch of a button. This includes checking the status of the battery, tracking your CO2 emissions, find local charging stations and remotely switching on climate control just to name a few.
