At Glyn Hopkin, we are proud to have such a longstanding partnership with the Motability Scheme – providing easy access to a wide range of high quality vehicles. Together with Dacia and the Motability charity, we aim to cover a wide range of motoring needs, delivering affordable and practical cars suited to your individual requirements.
Purchasing a Motability vehicle is easy. Indeed, many Dacia cars in our range require no advanced payment. To make the experience even more hassle-free, our dedicated Motability experts are on hand to ensure you find the perfect car with ease. We will also discuss the financial benefits of the scheme with you, and guide you every step of the way.
If you receive financial assistance due to your disability, you could be eligible – allowing you to exchange your benefits for a three-year lease on a brand new Dacia.
If you have 12 months of payments remaining on the following you should qualify for the scheme:
● Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance
● Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment
● Armed Forces Independence Payment
● War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement.
With a third of our Motability customers over 65 there really is no upper age limit. You can also claim on your child’s behalf if they are over the age of three. Even if you don’t drive, a simple addition of two named drivers – they can be friends, family or carers – means you can still benefit from this invaluable scheme.
There’s a wide selection of Dacia models on offer from Glyn Hopkin, so you will have no problem finding the right model for you. The Dacia Sandero is a nimble supermini, ideal for urban-based driving. Meanwhile, the Sandero Stepway or Logan MCV cars are perfect choices for those requiring hard-wearing usability and lots of space for wheelchairs or mobility scooters. Remember, no advanced payment is required and we’ll guide you through the offers that cover stowage and access to help you adapt the vehicle to your needs.
If you need to talk to a Motability expert, or require more details on how the scheme may benefit you, book an appointment with us today. Use the online form provided, or simply give us a call to find out more.
Motability Scheme prices will be available from Thursday 4 June. We are gradually contacting customers who are able to place an application with more information. The Scheme is still closed for new customer applications. See our FAQs for further updates.
Although dealers will begin to gradually reopen in England from 1 June, with social distancing measure in place, weeks of disruption mean we are working through a large backlog of both Motability orders, and sales of returned cars. For this reason, we ask for your understanding as we will need to take a phased approach to reopening the Scheme. Please be reassured that the Scheme will support you where possible to help you remain mobile during this time.
As the COVID-19 situation changes we understand that customers have a number of questions. The Motability Customer Services team is currently dealing with a high volume of calls, so we would ask for your support if you are unable to get through to them as quickly as usual.
We will continue to update this page regularly to ensure we cover the most frequently asked customer questions.
Vehicle handovers and new applications
I placed an application before lockdown, when will the handover of my car go ahead?
Handovers of cars that had already been ordered, have started to arrive at dealerships and are ready for dealers to pass on to customers this will start this week, subject to this being done in a COVID-19 safe environment. When your car is ready to be handed over, your dealer will be in touch with you to make an appointment. We expect that delivery of these pre-ordered cars will continue throughout June and into July.
