Fiat’s performance division, Abarth, has just revealed a race-bred special edition model to their range – the 595 Yamaha Factory Racing, and Glyn Hopkin Milton Keynes will be one of the first dealerships to offer this exciting new model.
Since opening its doors in July, the Milton Keynes dealership has already experienced a strong demand for the Abarth 595 model with variants including the Biposto and the Competizione. The new Yahama Factory Racing model will be the latest addition to the range and was created by Abarth to mark its championship-winning partnership with Yamaha in 2015’s MotoGP series.
Fitted with a Record Monza exhaust system the 595 Yahama Factory Racing promises a thrilling ride and a fierce, distinctive roar. This beast of a model contains a tuned version of the four-cylinder in-line 1.4-litre Turbo T-Jet engine which produces 160 PS, resulting in the Yahama Factory racing propelling to 62mph in a swift 7.4 seconds with a top speed of 130 mph.
With a simple touch of a button the Yahama Factory Racing ‘sport mode’ is engaged resulting in an increased torque of 230 NM as well as a faster exit from corners to really make use of the car’s lowered racing suspension. The upgraded suspension contains racing components such as Eibach lowered springs and shock absorbers by Koni to ensure better levels of grip and quick to respond braking.
Making sure it is not just for sporty thrills, the Yahama Factory Racing also comes with a number of practical standard features including: Blue&Me connectivity which includes Bluetooth, voice recognition, steering wheel remote controls and a USB port, dark tinted windows, mechanical memory function passenger seat, heated windows and door mirrors, 50/50 split folding rear seats and bespoke floor mats. However, to maintain its unique racing edginess you will also find Abarth Corse black racing seats, flat-bottom leather steering wheel, 17-inch matte black alloy wheels, aluminium pedals and red brake callipers. If that’s not enough, the Yahama Factory Racing offers plenty of personalisation options, with seven striking colours available along with optional red racing stripes and mirror covers you can really made the model your own.
Fraser Cohen, Managing Director of Glyn Hopkin said “Abarth’s interpretations of Fiat’s iconic 500 have proved extremely popular in our Abarth centres” and that the “racy 595 Yamaha Factory Racing looks set to continue that trend.” When speaking about this new edition he believed that the “obvious motorsport heritage and the sound of the upgraded engine should certainly turn heads!”
The Abarth Yamaha is currently available at Glyn Hopkin from £17,890 or just £299 per month with a £1,190 deposit contribution until the 30th November 2015. The Abarth 595 range begins at £14,610 for the basic 1.4 T-Jet model.
