Dacia Sandero wins What Car? Award for fourth consecutive year

Dacia has won the “Best Small Car for less than £12,000” title in the What Car? Awards for the fourth year running with its Sandero 1.2 Ambiance hatchback.

The model scooped its first award back in 2013 following the brand’s entrance into the UK car market, and retained the award for 2014, 2015 and now for 2016.

The Dacia Sandero is a five-door hatchback, available in three trim levels with a choice of both petrol and diesel engines.

Commenting on the decision to give the Sandero the award for the fourth time, Jim Holder, Editorial Director, What Car? said “If you’re looking for budget motoring, it’s hard to go wrong with the Dacia Sandero”, and that the entry level specification is the “cheapest new car available in the UK, yet offers comfortable seating for four adults and a big boot.”

However, he did recommend that when buying customers should opt for the slightly higher specification Ambience version as it “adds several key creature comforts” such as remote central locking, electric front windows and Bluetooth connectivity.

On winning the award for the fourth time, Louise O’Sullivan, Head of Dacia UK said that the team were “delighted” with the result, especially as the model starts from a “shockingly affordable price” where you can actually get one “from just half the amount of the category it competes in.”

The Dacia Sandero Ambiance is currently available at Glyn Hopkin from only £89 per month. For more information and to arrange your test drive, visit our Dacia dealerships in Chelmsford and Colchester, or contact us using the buttons above.
