The Abarth 595 “Custom" version is powered by a 1.4-litre Turbo T-Jet 140HP engine mated with either a manual or robotic automatic gearbox, for quicker shifting times and enhanced engine performance. There are countless possible style and performance combinations allowing users to customise their ride to the ideal specification. There are various ride, brake, inlet and exhaust tune up kits available as well as a selection of cosmetic kits and an increasing number of exclusive accessories.
The second level of the 595 range is the “Turismo," also powered by a 1.4-litre Turbo T-Jet engine, and is designed to meet the needs customers looking for a sporty and elegant vehicle. The Turismo model is capable of producing 160HP and is mated to either a manual five-speed gear box or the Abarth robotised gearbox.
The interior has a real high quality feel to it, featuring leather seats in a choice of colours with matching leather steering wheel and floor mats with leather inserts, while metal studs add to the premium feel in the cabin. The pedals, scuff plates and gearbox trim are all made out of Alutex, an exclusive material used in race cars – the entire interior feels sophisticated and stylish whilst also meeting the needs of the customer.
The third tier model is the 595 “Competizione," designed for the thrill seekers and drivers who want the adrenaline rush of the world of racing. It is driven by the 1.4-litre T-Jet competition 180HP engine, a result of experience acquired by the Scorpion technicians on several racetracks.
Thanks to the anatomical “Abarth Corsa by Sabelt" shell seats featured in the Competizione, it will be a comfortable experience even as you reach speeds up 100mph in just 6.7 seconds. A Brembo braking system with aluminium fixed callipers in 4 pistons provides the user with pin point precision when they apply the brake pedal.
Also on display at the 2015 Geneva International Motor Show is the Abarth 695 Biposto, designed to create the perfect balance of a street-legal car that can deliver the feel of an on-track racing car. Powered by the most powerful engine ever installed on an Abarth road car; a 1.4-litre T-Jet 190HP engine with a specific power of 139 HP/litre – a record for this category of engine! Weighing just 997kg the Biposto has a power to weight ratio of 5.2kg/HP, allowing it to do 0-62mph in just 5.7 seconds whilst maintaining record breaking levels of agility – earning the Biposto the nickname of the world's smallest supercar.
